Day 1

Today was the first day of my 90 day challenge!
It was a piece of cake -- not cake - it was as easy
as a shake!! Tony and I went to the gym and had a
great work out for an hour and a half.

Can't wait to start seeing results!!

Dr.

I saw the surgeon today that did my gallbladder surgery.
He said all looks good. He wanted information about all things
Yellowstone. After talking to me before surgery - he and his
family have decided to go for a 10 day vacation. I gathered a
bunch of info for him! I hope they have a blast!!!

GOOD !!!

I think good things are about to happen for me.
I was talking to an old friend and she was telling me
about a weight loss program that she is doing!

I am pretty excited about it and plan to start it soon!

I hope it works and look forward to good results!!!!

What a difference a day makes ...

Today I feel a little better. Still not 100%. I get tired easily.
I am bored out of my mind. I need something to keep me busy!
The pain is much better - only hurts when I bend or lift something.

Off to watch more movies and play on Facebook.

Surgeries

Well the surgeries are done! I was sick till about 10:30pm.
I told them that was my biggest issue and yet still could
not avoid it. I have no pain from the ablation. The gallbladder
removal is a different story. It was done laparoscopically. I only
have a small incision in my belly button and on my side.

I am tired of being stuck on the couch (again). I was able to climb
in bed and lay flat for a few hours - THAT FELT GREAT! I feel almost
human today and this is only day 2 post surgery. I am sure that by
Monday I will be back to normal - just no lifting. I am just BORED!!

July 5th - the day AFTER

My dog - Pepper and fireworks do NOT mix.
Every year it seems to get worse.
She crawled up in my lap - all 65 lbs of her. She continuously
panted and drooled and paced and tried to hide in the dumbest
places. It got annoying. Finally we took her outside to face
them and it actually got a little better. But I felt like I was
torturing her.

Bears!

While visiting Yellowstone we met several people
with the same wildlife passion as us. Lynsie's camera
is good but there were many people that had invested a
lot more money into theirs and took some great shots.
In particular there was this man that we seemed to
run into several times. In chatting I asked if he
would be willing to send me a few of his pics.

After a few days he was kind enough to follow through!!

He has a website where you can purchase some of his work.

Thank you Justin for your time and talent!

Happy 4th of July!

Taking a drive to Sonoma to have pomegranate margaritas!
Better than a day at work! Can't be gone too long though
cuz my 60lbs dog is a scardey-dog with the noise of the fireworks.
Last night she climbed up in my lap and wrapped herself around my neck!

Burgers on the grill tonight and these cute lil Nilla wafer desserts.

Yellowstone June 2011

Had another great trip to Yellowstone.
Lynsie and I stayed in this cute little
cabin in West Yellowstone.
I love the wildlife and once again
was not disappointed in what we saw. I wish
we would have had more time!

Bears, Elk, Eagle, more bears, Bison,
and bison calves, coyotes and wolves!!

We were almost killed by a falling tree.
The wind was blowing hard (later I was told
the winds we measured at 35-55 mph).
We were traveling 50 mph, came around a corner
and a tree fell across the road missing the
front bumper by 10' - thank God my dad stopped
in time or we would be hurt - or worse.

Grouse

Cinnamon Black Bear
We stayed with this bear for almost an hour.

Later we found out that there was an off limits road
where the rangers put the carcasses of animals that are too
close to the road for the safety of the people, where the animals can
feed off of and that is where she/he was headed! They call it gut road.

They call this a widow maker.
This tree almost fell on our truck - I thought we were gonners. (hence the name widow maker)

Getting it moved

I hope you enjoyed all my pics from Yellowstone.
If you have never been there - you need to go!

I welcome your comments!
