Here is a quick story - NOT exactally G RATED! But
I will try! =)
On the 17th Tony and I were in the shower - we often
just shower together. He pulled me toward him and
"bumped" me against my pelvic bone (not hard)
and well - ah - broke his you-know-what.
It bent 90 degrees at the top. And did not go
straight again. We rushed to the ER and after
explaining what happen and all of us having a good
laugh - they did emergency surgery.
He was in a lot of pain - has stitches internal
and external.
Hopefully things will all be back to normal
in 3 - 6 months.

TOO FAST!!

Dad this time
Monday after Easter my dad came down with something
that put him in the hospital. They watched him for 3 days
then did exploratory surgery and found nothing - that is
good news but still he ended up staying over a week!
He had an inflamed intestine. My mom stayed home
alone while he was gone and she seemed to do pretty good!
I stayed at the hospital almost 24/7. I have missed my
friends and spending time on the computer. I have lost track
of the days. Lynsie is turning 18 next week and I have
done NOTHING for a party or even shopping! That is
not like me !!

SHAME ON ME!
My mom is doing better - the progress is a lot slower now.
I have been busy with our recent trip to New York - where
Lynsie sang with the choir and Carnegie Hall!! We had a great
time!!!!
Here are a few things I have made from other people's tuts.

Gee - where should I start. On Jan. 23rd my mom
had knee surgery. It all went well, but sometime
during the night she had a stroke. My husband's
mom died due to a stroke so we knew the signs
and how important it was to get her help as soon
as possible! She stayed at the hospital for 5 days
and then she was sent to a stroke rehab center
about an hour from home. At first, I came home
at night and went right back in the morning. But
I hate getting up early and she did not do very
well in the evenings / nights. Being alone was not
good for her at this point. She was not allowed out
of bed on her own due to not having feelings in left
side (ear to toe) - but her walking skills were not
really affected! So I decided upon her request to
stay 24/7.
Anyway - her left arm and hand seems to be the
biggest problem. While at the center she had daily
classes to attend and they kept her very busy and
she progressed fast.
So fast that she was sent home early. But first this
place gives patients a one night go home pass. That
way people can see what the problems are at home
so they can work on them at the center, and so things
can be fixed at home.
Now she has been home since Feb. 13th and and is
doing FANTASTIC! Her only problem is her left
hand and the fact that she cannot feel anything
from ear to toe. She could hurt herself and not
know it and that scares the hell out of me.
I spend a good part of my days with her. She is
such an inspiration!

Last night the last thing I said was ... I hope tomorrow is a
better day. It was a better day for Tony but not for Lynsie.
She was in the Home Depot parking lot and hopped the curb
and popped her tire. When she got home her tire was getting
pretty flat. It could not be repaired so we had to order a
new tire. We have AAA roadside assistance and they would
come help her - even at home - but we felt there was a good
lesson to be taught here and made her learn how to change
her own tire. So Tony gave instructions and Zee did ALL
the work. I don't know anybody that looks that cute
changing a tire! Don't you agree!!

OH WHAT A DAY!!
OMG What a day! We own our own crane business. Today while
Tony was at work I got a phone call followed by a text message
with a picture attached. Today I cannot post just ONE picture
this deserves a few.
This is why you are to look and double look before you pull out
into another lane. And remember this is a big truck ... thank God
it was not a small car involved. ............................

Monday night my thumb got caught in the car door! I did it
to myself - not on purpose of course! And I cannot remember the
last time I felt that much pain. It does not LOOK bad and there
is no signs of how much it hurts but a heart attack doesn't show
a lot either yet IT hurts! So take my word for it and bring on the
sympathy would ya!! LOL
It does feel better today, but yesterday having to soak my nail in
acetone to get the nail off was not a pleasure. I can bend it a lil
today and it is not as painful.

I have started the Project 365 with Tammy. For those that
may not know what it is - you take a picture once a day and
blog about it. I am excited in hopes that it will help me with
my annual calendar that I make every Christmas.
If you want to check out our 365/2009 blog you can find it
here: http://farawayfriends2009.blogspot.com/
So-since I was I here last we have rang in the new year!
And celebrated Tony's 43rd birthday. Now we all have
to get ready to go back to the school and work schedule. YUCK!
Here is a picture of Mercedes all snuggled up in Lynsie's new
soft blanket. And of course Mercedes has her favorite
"stupid sock" that she carries around the house all the time!
It really is cute to watch her with it!
